CBA provided advice on the landscape and heritage implications of seven potential site allocations affecting Blenheim World Heritage Site, the Cotswolds AONB, and several villages with conservation areas and listed buildings

CBA was commissioned by West Oxfordshire District Council to provide advice on the landscape and heritage implications of seven potential site allocations as part of the technical evidence base for the new Local Plan. Key issues included the potential visual impact of development on the setting of Blenheim World Heritage Site, the Cotswolds AONB and a number of villages with conservation areas and listed buildings.

Landscape and heritage appraisals of each site were undertaken in accordance with best practice assessment guidance, national planning policy and international conventions. Advice on the development capacity and mitigation requirements with regards to landscape and heritage constraints was presented individually for each site, along with an overall assessment of in combination issues.

CBA has also provided landscape and heritage advice on a number of residential development planning applications and planning appeals on behalf of the Council.
