As part of a programme to promote business opportunities from England's World Heritage Story, CBA was commissioned by Cumbria Tourism to research and draft a business engagement toolkit for Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal in Yorkshire - one of northern England's seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The toolkit provides a source of ideas and inspiration for how businesses can benefit from the World Heritage Site brand by using the Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal story in marketing goods and services.  Focusing on Ripon, Masham, Harrogate, Knaresborough and the Nidderdale AONB,  it is primarily aimed at businesses that come into contact with visitors, such as hotels, B&Bs, cafes and restaurants, grocery shops and tourism services - including cycle hire companies, activity providers or outdoor shops.

The engagement toolkit is intended to help these businesses encourage visitors to explore the Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal story more deeply and in so doing to stay longer and explore further, increasing visitor stay and expanding spend in the region.
